With all the Candy Crush craze, other developers just had to come up with something to keep the gamers hooked and their games viral.
Rovio, creator of Angry Birds, made their move to keep up in the mobile gaming zone, releasing Angry Birds friends for Android and iOS. And just like Candy Crush Saga, they also have a Facebook App for it and works the same way to connect with your friends (not giving them the entire credit, though, because we know there were others that had this way back then — Zynga Poker is one). Well that is one thing worth the trouble. Having the app in iOS, Android and on Facebook, there is no way out. No way out!
I don’t know about you guys, but I had always been annoyed with game invites on facebook. I literally had the habit of blocking every new app that pops in my notifs. But Candy Crush was not annoying at all. It was ‘yey!’ for more lives, or “good for you Uncle Steven”. And this is coming from someone who does play a lot. I used to block my own games, really, but not this one.
This is something ingenious that other games and apps are probably trying to figure out how to do it and do it right and Rovio is obviously giving a shot to keep up.
